Current Role
Rev. Phillip B. Schneider was elected Superintendent of the Illinois Assemblies of God in May 2012. Previously, he had served as Executive Presbyter of the South Region since 2008 and as Presbyter of the Metro North Section since 2000.

Background
Rev. Schneider served as pastor of Cornerstone Assembly of God in Bethalto from 1990-2012. During that time, the church expanded into the Cornerstone Network, establishing parent-affiliated churches (PACs) across the metro east area of Illinois as well as one in Shrewsbury MO. Previous ministry assignments included senior pastorates in Litchfield and Bethalto, and a youth pastorate in East Peoria. He also contributed 30 years of leadership to Illinois youth camps.
Phil and his wife Renee reside in Bethalto, Illinois, and have five adult children and seven grandchildren.
