Location: Ava Assembly of God, Ava, IL
Community: Ava is a small rural farming/mining community with a population of approximately 500
The church family is made up of members from Ava and surrounding areas
Jackson County population is approximately 53,000. Ava is 25 miles from Carbondale, Illinois
Our Mission/Vision Statement: Centered on prayer, we are committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with a heart for nurturing children and families. Our mission is to build a faith community where every generation is embraced, supported, and empowered to walk in God’s love and truth
Service Attendance: Average of 42 on Sunday mornings, with 12 children in an active children’s ministry
Church Status: Debt-free, with a parsonage available for the pastor and family
Requirements:
Credentialed and in good standing with the Assemblies of God
Committed to preaching and teaching the Word of God
Building relationships within the community
Assisting in outreach efforts
