We are excited to welcome an experienced and enthusiastic Kids Pastor to join our vibrant church community in Lemont, IL. As the Kids Pastor, you will play a pivotal role in leading and growing our already active kids ministry. Responsibilities:
– Oversee and lead the kids ministry, catering to children ranging from birth through fifth grade, with an emphasis on continuous growth and expansion.
– Develop and implement creative and engaging age-appropriate programs, events, and activities that align with our church’s vision and values.
– Nurture a welcoming and inclusive environment where children can experience the love of Christ and grow in their faith.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with kids and their families, providing pastoral care and support as needed.
– Empower and equip a dedicated team of volunteers to effectively serve in the kids ministry, fostering a collaborative team effort.
– Collaborate with other church staff and leaders to integrate kids ministry into the overall church community, facilitating seamless transitions from children’s to youth ministry.
– Organize and participate in family-oriented events and activities that strengthen connections between kids and their parents.
– Champion a missions-focused approach by providing opportunities for kids to engage in outreach and service projects.
– Provide mentorship and discipleship to kids, encouraging their spiritual growth and understanding.
– Stay current with trends and best practices in kids’ ministry, seeking continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:
– A genuine passion for children’s ministry and a demonstrated love for kids.
– Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively and foster a team-oriented environment.
– A creative approach to ministry, with the ability to make biblical teachings relevant and engaging for children.
– Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with kids and their families on a personal level.
– Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, education, or a related field (preferred but not required).
– A deep and authentic personal faith in Jesus Christ.
