Phillip B. Schneider was elected District Superintendent during the 2012 District Council. Previously, he served as Executive Presbyter of the South Region since 2008 and as Presbyter of the Metro North Section since 2000. He was elected to serve as General Presbyter during the 2011 District Council, effective January 1, 2012. Following his election as District Superintendent, Ronald W. Heitman was elected to serve out the remainder of his General Presbyter term.
Rev. Schneider served as pastor of Cornerstone Assembly of God in Bethalto from 1990-2012. During that time, the church developed a multi-site presence, helping to develop church campuses across the metro east area of St. Louis and one in the city of St. Louis, Shrewsbury. He has served the Illinois District since 1980, working in churches in East Peoria, Litchfield, and Bethalto, as well as 30 years of Illinois youth camps. He is past president and a current member of the St. Louis Metro Harvest Evangelism Committee.
He and his wife, Renee, reside in Bethalto and have five adult children.

Blanchard Bio

Gary Blanchard was elected Assistant Superintendent and Executive Secretary of the Illinois District Council of the Assemblies of God on October 22, 2002. Reverend Blanchard oversees the credentialing process for the District's 875 ministers and 300 churches. He also provides leadership to the District's church planting efforts and assists Home Missions and District-supervised churches in becoming self-governing and self-supporting. He is Chairman of the Teen Challenge Illinois Board of Directors and serves on the board of Global University in Springfield, MO.
He has pastored churches in St. Charles, IL, and Marlton, New Jersey. While serving as a bi-vocational pastor, Reverend Blanchard spent 30 years in the financial services industry. He holds an undergraduate degree from St. Michael's College, Colchester, Vermont and did graduate work in Church Leadership at Olivet Nazarene College, Kankakee, Illinois.
He and his wife, Anne, reside in Carlinville, Illinois; they have three adult children - a son and two daughters -and nine grandchildren.

Massey Bio
W. Michael Massey has served as Presbyter for the North Central Section since 2000. Prior to that, he was Presbyter for the Northwest Section from 1993-2000. He was elected Executive Presbyter of the North Region by the 2008 District Council.
He has pastored churches in Dixon and Mascoutah, and has served as pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in DeKalb since January 1990. He is a graduate of Central Bible College.
He and his wife, Sherry, reside in DeKalb and have two adult children and two grandchildren.

Doughty Bio
Frederick A. Doughty was elected Presbyter for the Southeast Section of the North Region during the 2012 Fall Section Councils. He served as a presbyter for the North Region from 2008-2011.
He has served as senior pastor of Glad Tidings AG in East Peoria since 2005. Previous ministry included pastorates in Hoopeston and Peru; program director of Peoria Teen Challenge (2000-2005), and serving as associate pastor and school administrator in Jacksonville FL and Urbana IL.
He and his wife Karen have been married since 1968 and have four daughters and eight grandchildren.

Kringel Bio
Kevin W. Kringel was elected presbyter of the North Central Section of the North Region during the 2012 fall section councils. He had served as a Presbyter for the North Region since 2011.
He has served as lead pastor of Life Church Network in Roscoe since August 2003. Previous ministry includes serving as a campus pastor and intern director at First AG in Rockford and youth pastor in Tulsa OK.
He and his wife Maria have been married since 1998 and have three sons and a daughter.

McGough Bio
Rick L. McGough was elected Presbyter of the North Region in September 2008 and elected Presbyter of of the West Section in 2012. He has served as senior pastor of New Life Fellowship in Moline since 1982. Previously, he sang in Christian groups from 1975-1981 and served as youth pastor of Riverside Christian Center in Rockford (1979-1981.) He is a graduate of Rockford School of Technology.
He and his wife, Val, have three adult sons.

Heitman Bio
Ron Heitman was elected Executive Presbyter of the Chicago Section by the 2008 District Council and re-elected in 2012 to serve a second four-year term. At the 2012 District Council, he was also elected to serve the remaining term of General Presbyter which was vacated by Phillip B. Schneider upon his election as District Superintendent. Rev. Heitman has served as lead pastor at Evangel AG in Hanover Park since August 2004. He was youth pastor at the church prior to serving the Illinois District as District Youth Director from 1992-2004. He is a graduate of Central Bible College. He has served on the National Advisory Committee for the National Youth Department as well as chairman of the National Camp and Convention Summit, and presently serves on the General Superintendent’s Cabinet.
He and his wife, Tamra, reside in Bartlett with their two daughters.

Banks Bio
Douglas R. Banks was elected Presbyter of the Chicago Region in September 2008 and was elected Presbyter of the South Central Section in 2012. He has served as pastor of Maranatha Chapel in Evergreen Park since May 1999. Previously he served as a world missionary to Mexico and pastored in Frankfort IL. He also served the Chicago Central section as a Presbyter from 2006-2008, when the district was reconfigured into regions. He holds a master’s degree from AGTS.
He and his wife, Lamond, have three children.

Paniagua Bio
Carlos Paniagua was elected Presbyter of the North Central Section of the Chicago Region in January 2013 by the Illinois Presbytery. He has served as senior pastor of Belmont Assembly of God in Chicago since 2003. Previously, he served as senior associate pastor of Christ Tabernacle in Glendale, New York, and as a member of Brooklyn Tabernacle of New York City.
He is married to Yvonne.

Boucher Bio
Keith L. Boucher was elected Presbyter of the West Section of the Chicago Region during the 2012 fall section councils. He has served as Executive Pastor of Calvary Church in Naperville since 1995. Previous ministry included serving as singles pastor and associate pastor at Central Assembly in Springfield MO, and as singles pastor at Calvary Church in Naperville (1992-1995) until current assignment.
He and Kimberly have been married since 1982 and have two children.

Labertew Bio
Joel E. Labertew was elected Presbyter of the Chicago Region in September 2008 and was elected Presbyter of the South West Section in 2012. He has served as pastor of Southwest Community Church in Plainfield since 2001. Previous ministry included serving as youth pastor at Belmont AG in Chicago (1995-1997) and Joliet First AG (1997-2001). He is a graduate of CBC.
He and his wife, Angela, have three children.

Richard A. Valkanet was elected Presbyter of the North West Section of the Chicago Region during the 2012 fall section councils. He previously served as Presbyter of the Chicago North Section from 2002-2004. He has served as senior pastor of Living Waters AG, Grayslake, since 1992. Previous ministry includes serving as youth director of Belmont AG, Chicago; Assistant Director of Chicago Teen Challenge (1981-1985) and Executive Director of Chicago Teen Challenge (1985-1992.)
He and his wife Patricia have been married since 1969 and have two sons and three grandchildren.

Nevitt Bio
B. G. Nevitt was elected Executive Presbyter of the Central Region during District Council 2008 and re-elected in 2012. He served as Presbyter of the Eastern Section from 2006-2008 and as Executive Presbyter of the Illinois District Council since May 2007.
He is the pastor of GT Church in Decatur IL, beginning his assignment there in 1991. From 1985 to 1991, he served as pastor of Living Waters Assembly of God in Grayslake, IL.
He and his wife, Brenda, reside in Decatur and are parents of two daughters, Amy and Melissa, and have two grandchildren.

Amsler Bio
V. Lee Amsler was elected Presbyter of the West Section of the Central Region during the 2012 fall section councils. He previously served as Presbyter of the Capital Section from 1971-2002 and 2005-2008. He has served as founding pastor of Riverside Community Church in Quincy since December 2002. Previous ministry included serving the Illinois churches of Faith AG in Quincy and Virden. He also served as a youth pastor at East Peoria in 1962.
He and Lavon, also a credentialed minister, have been married since 1955 and have four children and 15 grandchildren

A.B. Bennett was elected Presbyter of the South Central Section of the Central Region during the 2012 fall section councils. He has served as lead pastor of Pawnee AG since September 2005. Previous ministry included serving as an associate pastor of Pawnee AG; youth and associate pastor at Alma AR; lead pastor of New Life Worship Center, Sulphur Springs TX.
He and Christi have been married since 1990 and have three children.

Edwin W. Garvin was elected Presbyter of the Central Region in September 2009 and Presbyter of the North Central Section in 2012. He has served as lead pastor of First AG in Normal since May 2007. Previous ministry included pastoring churches in Florida and Wisconsin, and serving as Public Relations Director of North Central University.
He and his wife, Jodi, have two children.

Lowery Bio
Douglas N. Lowery was elected Presbyter of the East Section of the Central Region during the 2012 fall section councils. He served as Eastern Section Presbyter from 2004-2006 and as Executive Presbyter from 2001-2008. He has served as founding pastor of Maranatha AG in Decatur since January 1978. Previous ministry included serving as a youth pastor in Decatur IL and San Marcos CA and senior pastor of West Point AG, West Point IL. He has also served as a church planter, planting seven churches in Illinois and 40 churches worldwide, primarily India.
He and Rosemary have been married since 1969 and have three children and 11 grandchildren.

Stratton Bio
Richard L. Stratton was elected Executive Presbyter of the South Region at the 2012 District Council. Previously, he had served as Presbyter of the South Region since September 2008. He has been the senior pastor of Salem Assembly of God since May 2006. Previous ministry includes pastoring churches in Flora and Washington Park, IL, and ministering as an evangelist for several years. He served as Presbyter of the Southeastern section from 2006-2008 and is a graduate of North Central University.
He and his wife, Marcia, have two married sons and three grandchildren.

Akins Bio
W.V. Dean Akins was elected Presbyter of the South Section of the South Region during the 2012 fall section councils. He has served as senior pastor of First AG, Mursphysboro, since October 2001. Previous ministry includes pastoring churches in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Ava, Metropolis, and Staunton, all Illinois.
He and Wilma have been married since 1962 and have four children, 19 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Rhodes Bio
Roy R. Rhodes was elected Presbyter of the Metro North Section of the South Region during the 2012 fall section councils. He has served as senior pastor of Abundant Life Community Church in Alton since 2010. Previous ministry included serving as senior pastor for 11 years at Cross Point AG in Paola, Kansas. He also served 4 years as DYD for the Arkansas District. Ministry history includes 25 years as lead pastor, youth minister, church staff, music and worship pastor, choir director, and evangelism pastor.
He and Leighanne have been married since 1983 and have three children.

Shepherd Bio
Barry A. Shepherd was elected to his first term as South Region Presbyter during the October 2010 South Region Council and as Presbyter of the Metro South Section in 2012. He has served as pastor of Tri City Assembly of God in Granite City since 2008. He was the church's youth pastor from 1983-1988. His previous ministry also included serving as pastor in Flossmoor from 2003-2007 and serving for eight years as discipleship pastor in Salem, Oregon. He was a youth pastor for 12 years, eight of them in Illinois.
He and his wife Denise have three children, Luke (19), Ellie (17), and Sam (10).

Wallace Bio
Don L. Wallace was elected Presbyter of the Southeastern Section of the South Region during the 2012 fall section councils. He previously served as Presbyter of the Southeastern Section from 2000-2006. He has served as lead pastor of Effingham AG since 1988. Previous ministry included serving as associate pastor of Salem AG (85-88); interim pastor in Ingraham IL (84-85); and pastorate in Orchardville IL (1982-1984).
He and Lois have been married since 1962 and have two children and two grandchildren.
