Go 2024 | Petersburg

This year, we are continuing our efforts to reach rural communities with the gospel. After successful efforts in El Paso, Atlanta, and Winchester in the past three years, this year we are focusing on the community of Petersburg, Illinois. As part of the GO 24 initiative, we are planning an outreach event in Petersburg on Saturday, August 3.

This event will be in partnership with Pastors Darren and Kami Palmer and Faith Church in Petersburg. In 2022, this church was planted by the Palmers, who also serve as lead pastors of Faith Church in Lincoln. The event will be held at Hurie Park, located on Route 123 in Petersburg.

As we prepare for this outreach, we need help in three specific areas. First of all, we need people who will commit to praying for the event, for lives to be changed and for individuals to come to Christ, for good weather for the event, and for health and safety for all volunteers. Second, we are looking for individuals and churches to help us raise the budget for this event. Third, we are looking for people who will commit to come and be a part of the event.

We are looking for volunteers to help in various areas of the event. It is a one-day event that will be held from 10:00 to 2:00, and we are asking that volunteers be available from 8:00 to 5:00, in order to help with set-up prior to the event and tear down and clean-up after the event.

Together we can make a difference in the lives of the people of Petersburg. Thank you for helping us reach the lost in rural America.

For the Lost,

Gary Grogan, Executive Director, GO 24 Illinois
Chuck Lormis, Assistant Director, GO 24 Illinois
