"Though this isn't a new idea, prayerwalking has proven to be an effective way to generate excitement within our church and community.
"Each Sunday night, we meet at the church for praise and worship, then set out to a specific location in our city for specific prayer. For example, one evening we met at City Hall and prayed for our mayor, city council, etc.
"Another Sunday evening we went to the high school and prayed for the students, teachers, staff, etc., walking around the school property and sports fields. We have done the same at our junior high and elementary schools.
"Another Sunday we went to a couple of our city's business centers to pray over the economic situation in the area.
"Our people have really come on board with us, and there is excitement over what God will do in our community. Our plan is to ultimately walk every street in town and pray for every home."
