Brian and Melody Whidden, HomeFront Directors

The Whiddens were appointed as Directors of HomeFront Ministry, effective June 1, 2006.
Brian is a graduate of Southeastern University and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He has pastored two Illinois churches—Glen Carbon (Metro South Section) from 1990 to 1995, and Elmhurst (Chicago North Section) from January 1996 to June 2004. Since their departure from Elmhurst, the Whiddens served a two-year term as missionary associates in Japan, from 2004 until 2006, where they filled the role of interim pastors for two congregations.
In giving service to HomeFront, the Whiddens will minister to Illinois pastors and their families, focusing on life-nurturing relationships, godly encouragement, and healthy approaches to ministry and life. Ministers' relationships, the annual PK Retreat, and other targeted ministry to children of ministry/pastoral homes are a part of the focus given this assignment.
